It is with sad regret we have to publish the passing of Michael Snow - a club stalwart and character "par excellence".

It is with sad regret that HRFC have to announce that Michael Snow has passed away. As in all walks of life, occasionally you stroll across a person who is bigger than the room they are in. Michael Snow epitomised this quality of person.

Larger than life, his laughter could fill a room before he had entered it. Yesterday Michael died a sudden death and the world will be a sadder place for his leaving. He graced both the cricket and rugby fields and left his mark on both. He was a character "par excellence" who will be remembered as a dedicated servant and a loyal clubman who understood the meaning of duty.

He will be forever known as a tough competitor who would fight to the ends of the earth on the field but would be the first to buy you a beer after. Complex but entertaining his life stories could fill and entertain for hours. Rarely has someone had the ability to enthral an audience as Michael could.

He is survived by his 2 daughters - Gracie and Shelley and his son Tim. Our thoughts will be with you during this devastating period. God bless you and your closest family and friends, we understand what a great loss this will be.

We will look to publish funeral details in the near future but for now, on the last day of 2017, Hinckley Rugby Club would like to say "cheers" for being part of HRFC and we will look fondly on the games and the tours and the "joie de vive" that you brought to the world.

Rest in peace Michael Snow, the world will be a less entertaining place now you have gone.
