Five Hinckley Sirens players represented the Midlands against London & South East.

Yesterday, Broadstreet RFC in Coventry hosted the girls U15’s and U18’s Divisional competition, which saw the Midlands play London & SE, and the North play the South West.

Initially, four Hinckley Sirens U15’s girls were selected to play the game against London & South East, but due to another player incurring an injury last weekend, a fifth member of our team was also called up to play.

Unfortunately, the Midlands U15’s suffered a 55 – 7 defeat against a stronger LSE team. However, not all was lost, there was some good play from the Midlands who had to work extremely hard, and well done to Martha Farnworth from Worcester for her well-earned try in the first half.

Congratulations and well done goes to the following Hinckley Sirens girls who were selected to represent their region at the weekend: Lauren Rigby; Megan Davey; Ellie-Mae Turner (all of whom made their debut appearances); and also to Lottie Bozon and Megan Varley. A big thank you also goes to everyone who came along to support the girls, including some of their Hinckley Sirens team mates who’s game yesterday was unfortunately cancelled.

The girls will be meeting up again with their Divisional squad in June for a Training Day, and again in July when they take part in a Divisional Summer Training Camp.
