Hinckley's second match saw a dominant performance against the hefty front row of Loughborough, but it was the power and pace of Lockett, Davey and Smith who set up excellent ball for the backs, who ran in five unanswered scores, the first from Webb followed by a brace from Sharkey, and Blackman who scored his first points for his new club to end the half Hinckley 25pts Loughborough 0pts. Hinckley's next match saw them up against Local Rivals Bosworth and with Webb running in an excellent solo effort from the kick off, and Crowfoot running in a second the flood gates looked to be wide open, but it was Bosworth who dug deep to end the half just the two scores behind. Complacency crept in early in the second half from the Hinckley pack who allowed Bosworth to score, a nail biting end to the match saw Hinckley hold on for a well earned win. Once again the Final match saw a winner takes all against the Hosts, and with neither team wanting to lose saw an excellent first half display from both defenses who went in at half time all square,Hinckley 0pts Syston 0pts.
The second half belonged to the Hinckley forward pack who piled on the pressure with numerous pick and drives for Phipps to finally cross for the first score, Syston quickly replied to level, but once again the power of the Hinckley pack released Sharkey to edge Hinckley ahead, and with a final burst from Oliver who made excellent ground to put the Hinckley pack in a perfect position to overpower Syston, and release Dalby who crossed for a well deserved win and Festivel Honours.
