Hinckley defeat County Champions

The final match of the morning saw Hinckley take on current County Champions Oadby Wyggs, who hadn't lost a match in last years campaign, neither had they conceded a try, this didn't phase the Hinckley pack who rose to the challenge and once again dominated in the scrums against a hefty Oadby pack, Lockett for Hinckley was outstanding at the break down showing excellent rucking skills, this helped disrupt the opponents rhythm, and when Dalby was released ran in an excellent effort to put Hinckley ahead at half time. Hinckley's defence held strong in the the second half, Lockett, Nixon, Webb and Long with great tackles. And with the clock ticking down and Hinckley piling on the pressure deep inside their opponents half, forced Oadby to kick possession away on numerous occasions,this helped run the clock down, and when the final whistle blew their was a massive sigh of relief from the Hinckley supporters and players, who realised what they had achieved, final score Hinckley 5pts Oadby Wyggs 0pts.

These excellent performances saw Hinckley through to the County Cup Finals.....Well done to all the lads.
