What a day of rugby it was Saturday at Hinckley RFC. In the space of half an hour the elements were in full force and we had swirling wind, rain, lightning and hailstones. I have to say that yesterday's game was the coming of age of a young Staghounds squad and possibly one of the best ever games of tenacious rugby I have ever seen. All the hard work and increased turnouts at training is now really starting to pay benefits for all involved.
The most pleasing thing for me was to watch an attacking game plan unfold exactly as asked for although the weather did make life hard at times. As in all games of rugby you still come away with things you can change and work on but what a superb performance from all involved. Well done lads!
The end scoreline of 15-10 to the Staghounds was thoroughly deserved and I know they will be waking up today feeling very satisfied with their days work. Well done to Ed Morris on his first run out for the Staghounds.
Team: Elliot, Harrison, Ricky, Breeno, Strat, Baz(c), Chris, Tom, Robbie, Josh, Julian, Ed, Blaine, Dylan, Kieran, Brezzo, Issac and Ed.
Man of the match this week goes to everyone for an awesome display of team rugby.
