Mansfield 21 - 26 Stags

After last weeks 11 aside football match The stags returned to league action travelling away to newly promoted Mansfield. A tough game was predicted as no away game comes easy.

Hinckley Started strong and showed early dominance , but could not shake off the resilience of a spirited Mansfield side who never let the stags get out of first gear.

Matters didn't help with Dylan Weddle being shown a yellow card in the opening 10 mins.

In fairness it was a performance the stags will look back on and like to leave in the past . Eventually running out 26-21 winners. Things may have been different if there were more time on the clock for Mansfield as they battered the stags line in the closing moments and had the upper hand and came away with a deserved losing bonus point.

Tries came from Chris Arnold x2 with Connor Nixon also claiming 2 Joe Wilson kicking 3 out of 4 conversions.

The only good thing to come from the game was the return of Chris Arnold who had an outstanding game in the 2nd row and also scoring 2 tries.
