Hinckley took 2 teams to Melbourne playing two games each against Melbourne's 2 teams.

Harriet, Ben, Alfie, Toby, Alex, BMG, Will and Logan to start. A clear rules given out to both teams by the ref and Melbourne to start. Great first tackle by Logan to gain control of the ball. Alfie out on the wing for BMG to score Hinckley's first try. 1-0 Hinckley. Melbourne very quick to respond with a try, Hinckley's defence did not see that. 1-1.
Some good passing going on down the lines from Hinckley. Ref has a quiet word with Coach Phil, wonder what kind words were said there then......
Melbourne score their second try, however slamming the ball like they're playing basketball shouldn't count, 2-1 to Melbourne. Hinckley not having that and go on the attack for Harriet to level the score. 2-2. Hinckley forced the turnover and scored their third try by Logan, 3-2 Hinckley lead. Coach Phil staying on the side line giving the team encouragement. Some good strong pushes by Hinckley but Melbourne's defence is strong. No matter the ball goes to Melbourne but Will is quick to turn it over and score the fourth try for Hinckley. 4-2 Hinckley. Quick change, BMG, Harriet and Ben off, Joseph, Louie and Troy on. Lightning speed encouraged by coach Phil to the new players on the pitch. Great little run by Toby, Alfie and Will to gain 2/3 of the pitch. Some great off loads by the team and Will off loads to Logan to score Hinckley's fifth. 5-2 Hinckley, half time.

Second Half
Words of wisdom from Coach Phil and the team are ready for the second half. Can the ref see all of the points that were missed last game... Hinckley to start, quick run by Hinckley but Melbourne turn the ball over by a quick snatch and a run up the flank, no fear though Troy is there to push Melbourne into touch. Some high tackles from Melbourne and the ref recognises it (finally), penalty to Hinckley. Some hard pushing by Hinckley and Louie scores Hinckley's sixth. 6-2 Hinckley. Quick change, Alfie, Will and Alex off. Another quick try by Hinckley to make it 7-2.
Toby takes the ball out wide to score Hinckley's eighth. Some serious try's being scored by Hinckley, are Melbourne ever going to challenge Hinckley??? Melbourne keep the ball in Hinckley's half to score their third try. 8-3 Hinckley lead. Are Melbourne not liking losing as another high tackle comes in, come on now, let's not finish the game dirty. Hinckley ball and they are pushed back into their own half, quick run by Harriet to gain ground but turned over and Melbourne's scrum. Melbourne take it out wide and drop the ball. Louie quick to pick it up and pass down Hinckley's line. Logan out on the wing and runs through their defences to score, 9-3 Hinckley. Good pushing forward by Hinckley to put the ball firmly in Melbourne's half, another high tackle though by Melbourne and the ref awards penalty try to Hinckley. 10-3 Hinckley. Team talk for both teams and the ref seems to have had some words about the number of high tackles, fair play ref. Full time 10-3 to Hinckley.

Second game.
Will, Louie, Troy, BMG, Alex, Joseph, Toby and Alfie to start. Hard start by Hinckley and push the ball firmly into Melbourne's half. BMG touches down but try not allowed, too many on the ball. No worries Hinckley turn the ball over for Toby to score the first try of the game. 1-0 Hinckley. Melbourne looking wiped out by their first game and being sloppy with their ball handling, Hinckley taking advantage of this to turn the ball over. Unfortunately Melbourne turn it over for a scrum and level the score. 1-1. Hinckley respond well and BMG scores, 2-1 Hinckley. Quick change: Alfie, BMG & Troy off. Harriet, Ben and Logan on. Hinckley very quick and score their third try by Toby. 3-1 Hinckley. Will rucking well and turning the ball over for Hinckley pushing the ball deep inside Melbourne's half. Alex to score try number four for Hinckley. 4-1. End of first half.

With a quick team talk by both, will Melbourne come back... Hinckley to start and Will goes out wide and Melbourne respond with a high tackle. It seems that both Melbourne teams have learnt a new tackle. No fear as the ref picks it up. Scrum by Hinckley but the ball is given away to Melbourne and then Hinckley take it back but ref picks them up. Quick change: BMG, Alfie and Troy back on, Joseph, Alex and Toby off. Knock to Will and Toby covers whilst Becki makes sure he is ok. Melbourne keep control of the ball and stay strong. Logan off, Joseph on. Ball goes out wide on Melbourne's side and forces Melbourne to the touch line, ball is turned over for a Hinckley scrum. Ben to feed in and pass out to Toby for Hinckley's fifth try. 5-1.
Hinckley pushing Melbourne back with lots of tackles, however Melbourne player injured on the floor. Their coach checking over and taking to the side line with no replacement, 7 man team for Melbourne. Despite this, Melbourne keep the ball in Hinckley's half. 8 players now back on and Melbourne score 5-2. Full time.

First Game for Hinckley’s other team was a tight fought contest with lots of turnovers from both sides, hard tackling and rucking. Hinckley took the lead with a typical Moore try, beating the opposition down the wing and stepping in for the Try. Guest, Smith & Fray come on for Goodwin, Drakeford & Ellershaw. End to End rugby for the next 5 minutes both teams defending well. Half time 1-0 to Hinckley.
The second half started as the first ended with strong defence from both sides with numerous turnovers, both teams determined not to concede a try. Goodwin, Drakeford & Ellershaw back on. Melbourne scored an easy try down the blind side to equal the game.
This stirred Hinckley into action from the restart, Bourne passing to Goodwin who crashed straight through the Melbourne defence for a try. Hinckley 2-1. The contact intensity now raised a few levels with some crunching tackles from Moore, Buckler & Fray. Hinckley’s final try came from an offload to Smith who scored in the corner.
A tight game with some good rugby from both sides.

Game 2 saw Hinckley caught napping by a eager Melbourne, determined to make amends for the 10-3 defeat dished out by the other Hinckley team. Melbourne quickly went 2-0 up leaving Hinckley questioning what was happening. Hinckley was slow going into the breakdown allowing Melbourne to keep possession. Only Hinckley’s strong tackling denying more try’s from Melbourne. Hinckley pulled one back before half time with Goodwin pouncing on the loose ball and storming through for a try. Half time 2-1 Melbourne.

Second half saw a more determined Hinckley take to the field after a team talk by Coach Carvell. Hinckley were still slow in the breakdown allowing Melbourne to turn the ball over numerous times and score 2 second half Try’s. Hinckley improved their rucking & mauling, gaining more turnovers and unleashing on form Moore for four second half try’s.
Hinckley finishing the game 5-4 up, a hard fought win which was made much harder than it should have been.

Overall great games by Hinckley and despite the high tackles Melbourne played well, not good enough to beat Hinckley. Both Hinckley teams did exceptionally well with winning all four games. Great day for Hinckley.
