HINCKLEY PROGRESS TO CUP FINALS DAY

Hinckley Under 11's are well on their way to retaining the County Cup.
Pool 4 hosted at Hinckley consisted of Hinckley, Market Bosworth, Vipers 2 & Market Harborough 2.
First game on this wet and rainy morning was against local foes Market Bosworth. Both teams were up for the challange with some crunching tackles being made by both sides. Hinckley were solid in defence and repelled all of Bosworths attacks. Hinckley kept the presure up and went into the break 1-0 up thanks to a try from Burton. Hinckley kept the presure on in the second half with try's from Moore & Hurley-Smith. The game ended in a well deserved 3-0 victory.
With Vipers 2 & Harborough 2 drawing 1-1 on pitch B the group was ours for the taking.
Next up was Vipers 2. Hinckley's solid defence stayed strong with Vipers unable to penertrate it, Hinckley always in control comfortably winning 3-0 with try's from Whittingham A, Duggins & Hutton.
Results from Pitch B saw Bosworth beating Harborough 4-1, It was now apparent that Harborough had sent their A team to Melton.
Hinckley's third and final match of the morning was against Harborough 2, with the Hinckley boys confidence riding high and the Harborough boys not so, it turned into a bit of a Try fest for Hinckley.
Hinckley played some excellent rugby:- moving the ball wide, calling moves and dummies galore. Making the correct decions when kicking and constantly putting Harborough under pressure. Final score was 7-1 to Hinckley with Harborough's only try coming from an interception. Hinckley try scorers were Drakeford (2), Salisbury (2), Moore, Goodwin & Smith..

Hinckley & Bosworth both progress to the Cup competion, Vipers 2 & Harborough 2 go through to the Bowl Competition.

All in all an excellent morning of rugby from the Hinckley squad, the coaches and players should be proud of themselves.
