Last minute change of opposition to Oadby Wyggs - many thanks for stepping in at short notice. Normal format 3x20mins and a strong first 20 it was, with players starting in their preferred positions.
There’s little to say but we were too strong for them, with a number of tries from different people again, which is great to see. I think we scored 6 without response, sometimes this can signal the end of a fixture but it did make us try more things and change around for the second 20.
Putting players out of position and playing differently meant we could focus a little on broadening our team game. Ball through the hands is still a growing area but we did it quite well, beating a man with a pass. By the third 20 the game was won, Oadby had come back and scored 3 which pushed us back at times. Credit to them for still having a good go. With a few small changes towards the end we had a couple of tries to finish the game. Suggested as 13 to 3.
All in all a strong performance and happy bunch of teammates, well done lads! ??
For any Dads who would like to go to the curry night 21st please let us know by Wednesday, we have 9 or 10 currently, be great to get a few more. If you can’t make it we shall be down to watch the Hinckley first team of Saturday 22nd also, see you there!
