Hinckley R.F.C are looking to appoint 2 new coaches to act as Staghounds Head Coach and U23’s Head Coach for the 2024/25 season.

The Staghounds XV are the club’s 2nd XV and compete in Counties 1 Midlands East (North) (Level 7 of the RFU league structure) winning 42 out of the last 44 leagues games, winning the league for the last two seasons. Our aim is to win the division again, hopefully leading to promotion to Level 6, depending on the review of the RFU Competition Structure. The U23’s, who are mainly made up of Colts who have moved into senior rugby for the first time in the last 3 years have recently been accepted to join the RFU league structure at Counties 3 Midlands West (East) (Level 9) after two successful years competing in the East Midlands Merit Table.

By taking on one of these roles you will be expected to be available on the majority of Saturday’s throughout the season and be able to attend, as a minimum Thursday evening training sessions (although Tuesday would be desirable and would further support your personal development). The individuals will be responsible for leading the team on match days and preparing the team during training sessions.

The individuals will be heavily supported by the DoR and Head Coach and can expect to be fully integrated into the senior coaching programme, as all player’s at HRFC can also expect into the training programme. This means that our players expect to receive coaching from all of those involved in the structure during the season, with, for example the Club Set Piece coaching being responsible for the development of the set piece across the club, and not just the 1st XV.

This is a great opportunity for ambitious coach who is keen to learn and develop, but also have responsibility for a Saturday League XV to come and join one of the largest rugby clubs in the area and be part of one of the few clubs supporting 3 Men’s XV in the RFU Leagues. RFU Coaching qualifications are desirable, but not essential.

Benefits:
- HRFC Branded Kit
- Access to Veo & HUDL Filming & Analysis Equipment
- Personalised coaching development plan
- CPD opportunities in professional clubs
- RFU coaching qualification support

To apply for either position, please send a coaching C.V. to Director of Rugby, Chris Campbell at chris.campbell@hinckleyrugby.co.uk specifying which role you are interested in applying for . Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Closing date for applications is Friday 31st May 2024.
