Higginson, Wells and Read all commit to HRFC

We are delighted to announce another 3 new signings for the 23/23 season, following on from the signings or Archie Heard, Jamie Dutton, Matt Worthy and Oli Bee which have already been confirmed.

Henry Higginson - Higginson joins us from Fylde RUFC where the openside flanker was a key man in their challenge for the National 2 North title last year. Currently playing for Lancashire in the Bill Beaumont County Championship, Henry was previously a student at Durham University where he won the BUCS 7s Championship and played in BUCS Super Rugby. Henry is moving down to the Midlands over the summer to take a role in a local school and we are absolutely delighted that he will be able to join us at HRFC.

Paul Wells - Wells joins us having graduated from Nottingham Trent University where he played in the centre for the 1st XV in Premier 1. He is a strong ball carrier with an excellent work ethic and will help To drive standards within the squad. He played his junior rugby at Old Coventrians and represented the Coventry development squad before joining NTU.

Sam Read - Sam is one of the most exciting young wingers in the county and joins us from Syston RFC who have had one of their best ever seasons. Sam is a former Nottingham Trent University student where he played performance rugby from 2017 - 2021 and comes to us with a huge amount of potential to make a real impact at National League level.

These players will join up with their new team mates on July 4th when pre-season gets underway.
