Peck straight into squad to take on Jersey

As part of Hinckleys continued positive relationship with Greene King IPA Championship side Nottingham Rugby, the club have agreed to allow tight head prop David Peck to go on a one week loan to go straight into the squad to take on Jersey on Sunday.

The positive relationship between the two clubs has been developing throughout the year. Full time players George Cox and Conor Buillivant have been sent across to Hinckley to provide them with match time - both players have played 10 games so this year and are in the squad which travels to Caldy tomorrow, whilst hooker Rhoddi Tanner is part of the Nottingham academy set up.

With the staghounds also playing an important league game tonight (Friday) Cecil McCarthy, another Nottingham Academy player joins the Hinckley squad to take up a spot on the bench.

Director of rugby Paul Walsh said: 'a big part of our focus at Hinckley is to develop players as well as winning matches - we see this as a great opportunity for David to test himself at a performance level and then bring those experiences back to the club for next weeks fixture against Preston. David has been a huge member of this squad for years and we are delighted that Nottingham want to give him this opportunity, no one deserves it more. We are are also delighted to be able to provide a young player in Cecil the opportunity to play some national league rugby. He has been in superb form for Nottingham Trent in the BUCS league and this game will help him in his development'.
