Partnership extended into its fourth year

We are very proud that DPD have chosen to sponsor the Club. It is a tremendous boost to be associated with an organisation as successful as DPD

Hinckley RFC have recently announced that DPD, the UK's leading parcel delivery brand, have agreed to sponsor Hinckley RFC for a further year. For the 2019/20 season, DPD will again be a main club sponsor, extending the partnership into its fourth year.

Hinckley Chairman, John Tilley was understandably delighted with the deal. ‘Our mission is to become the number one club in Leicestershire. We have come a long way in the last few seasons both on and off the field and the support we have received from Justin Pegg, COO DPD UK, and his management team has been a major factor in helping us deliver on that mission. The extension of our partnership for a further year is a major boost to our ambition to secure promotion in the coming season.’

DPD are now firmly established within the Hinckley area. The international parcel carrier is currently developing a new £150 million super hub on a 39 acre site between the A5 and junction 1 of the M69. The new facility will be just 2 miles from two other key DPD sites in the area; Hub 4 and the firm’s International Gateway, both of which opened in Sketchley in 2015. The new hub is expected to create 700 new jobs for people in the Hinckley area.

John Dutton, Hinckley RFC sponsorship manager, commented, ‘We are very proud that DPD have chosen to sponsor the Club. It is a tremendous boost to be associated with an organisation as successful as DPD and their sponsorship of a Club so strongly embedded within our local community shows how committed DPD are to becoming a critical part of that community.’
