Get Active with The Hornets – Try Park Rugby In Argents Mead!

Saturday gives the opportunity for many families to try out an initiative devised by your local rugby club and implemented in at least 3 parks in the local area over the last couple of months.

Understanding that many children and their families have little opportunity to play together in the great outdoors and under the umbrella of Park Rugby, Hinckley RFC has put together a series of activities that all the family can get involved in.

Simple but active, they can be performed by anyone – male, female, kids, parents, grandparents. It’s a real family activity and it’s coming to Hinckley Town Centre on Saturday.

It’s always free, it’s always in parks and it’s always great fun. In the past 2 months over 250 kids and parents have been active in a park near you. The majority have never played rugby before but the majority have come back for more and it has been a pretty even split of boys and girls.

By introducing Park Rugby to Argent’s Mead, the Hornets will be in be in their 4th park this year after Wykin, Tilton Road and Barwell.

It starts at 11am. The Tarro Lounge are in full support giving free tea, coffee or squash to anyone who has played and Sting the Hornet – Hinckley RFC’s mascot will be around and popping in for a coffee on the day.

It will finish around 2pm.

This may be the one and only time you get to have a run around with the kids this year so why not give it a go? Be at the Mead for 11am and see what it’s all about.
