Hinckley RFC players present and future played a big role in the Leicestershire County side’s appearance at Twickenham last Sunday. Despite, being 12-5 up just before half time, the County side went down 12-43 to a very strong Surrey squad in the second half in the final of the County Championship Shield. Although a disappointing loss, the side have had a great campaign that has included wins over Essex, Buckinghamshire, East Midlands and a fantastic last gasp semi final victory over last season’s champions Dorset and Wilts. Hinckley have provided many of the key players for the side and pictured above at Twickenham are:
Ben Avent, Ryan Oakes, Kris McFedries, Evan Morgan, County Manager Dave Kitching, Mitch Culpin, Dave Peck, Matt Fearn, Ben Marshall and County Head Coach and HRFC Director of Rugby Paul Walsh.
Hinckley’s Number 8 Ben Ashfield also played a big role in the campaign but was unfortunately injured before the final.
