This week has been another positive one across our community programmes, with plenty of engagement and development taking place both in schools and within our onsite initiatives.
Hastings High School Assembly
Vicky Macqueen delivered an inspiring assembly at Hastings High School, encouraging young people to get involved in rugby and showing them the opportunities available through Hinckley Rugby Football Club.
She also shared the rich history of the club and highlighted several former Hinckley RFC players who have gone on to achieve great things in the sport, including Manu Tuilagi, Vicky Fleetwood, Dean Richards, Graham Rowntree, and Sam Harrison. It was a fantastic chance to showcase the pathway from grassroots to elite level and to motivate the next generation.
Building Better Futures Programme
The group from the Building Better Futures programme took part in a gym session this week, completing a circuit that they designed themselves. This gave them ownership over the activity and helped reinforce key values such as teamwork, communication, planning, and resilience. The group worked exceptionally well together, supporting one another and pushing through each station with real commitment.
Overall, it’s been a strong week of community delivery, and we look forward to continuing this momentum as we move into next week.
