There is nothing like a game to blow out the cobwebs and see where we really are
Scott Hamilton

The Hornets take on Burton RFC in a pre-season friendly this Saturday. Burton are presenting 2 sides which will give Scott Hamilton’s boys a good run out in their initial outing of the season.

Happy with pre-season training, Scott stated, “There is nothing like a game to blow out the cobwebs and see where we really are. Training has gone well but you can never tell. We have a tight knit squad with a number of new additions, this is their first chance to play together so it will be really interesting. I’m looking forward to it.”

I think we are all looking forward to Saturday and some exciting times to come at Leicester Rd this season.

The Hornet U23’s / Staghounds will kick off at 2pm and the full Hornet’s squad will kick off at 3pm. There will be a number players join the full squad from the 2pm game.

Entry is free for everyone and the bar will be open from 12pm. BBQ food options will be available on the day.

There is a special £70 offer on the purchase of 2019/20 season tickets which closes this Saturday – a saving of over 20%. You will be able to buy them across the bar on the day or from now until then using the following link – Please note season tickets will be distributed in the week before the first home game of the season.

Hinckley play Loughborough Student at L’boro – Saturday 24th August and then National 1 side Cinderford at Cinderford on 31st August before the exciting season opener against one of this season’s promotion favourites Caldy on 7th September.

Ps. Lunch tables are still available for the Caldy game. Please let John Dutton know asap or purchase online via –

Lunch tables for certain fixtures are already sold out so it would probably be a good idea to organise your tables asap to avoid any disappointment. I know it is only August. We can only apologise.
