Hinckley RFC has lost one of its biggest characters suddenly today. Pete has been associated with the club since the early 80's as player, coach and alikadoo plus more recently chief supporter, drum master and song master.
For many he was the 2nd dad,to others a great friend, to Hinckley RFC he was a loyal servant, to all a character larger than life and to rugby a true follower.
He was the only person I ever knew who managed to get into every 5 Nations Stadium without a ticket - how times have changed!!
And who will forget the time he found the only free bar at the Leicester Tigers v Barbarians game. Please see the picture for details.
Above all though he was "a man you don't find every day". A great entertainer and a man who retained the child in his eye.
It was an absolute pleasure knowing you.
God bless you Peter Curtis
