Hinckley travelled to Preston on Saturday with a much more stable selection that in previous weeks - the pack was unchanged, with Joe Glover returning at scrum - half and Tom Hilyer moving to the wing.

With the game on a knife edge going into half time, Hinckley shot themselves in the foot with a number of errors leading to the home side scoring to go 20 - 14 up on the stroke of half time, and quickly after the break they added another 10 points, to leave the game suddently at 30 - 14 to Preston and Hinckley struggling to get anything out of the game.
