Hinckley were well beaten in the mud and rain of Otley against a side who made very few errors and controlled the game well throughout the second half.
The Hinckley squad saw the return of Luke Coltman to the starting lineup as well as regular first team squad member for the last 4 years Josh Smith on the bench, for his first squad appearance since early November.
The game started with a lot of rugby being played in the middle of the field, with the first points coming from Otley, with a penalty on 18 minutes.
Hinckley then managed to dominate field position with a number of penalties going to the corner and this in the end lead to a well finished try by Alex Crocker. Conor Buillivant then added the conversion, and Hinckley lead 7-3 at the break.
In the second half Hinckley hardly had the ball which is of great credit to the home side - they scored 22 answered points with 3 tries and a conversion and a penalty to take a clear lead with 10 minutes to go, with Hinckley also suffering two yellow cards to Glen Murray and Buillivant, meaning the visitors played about 5 minutes with 13 men.
Hinckley did manage to get a late try, with Alex Branson finishing from short range, with Lordy hitting the cross bar with the conversion.
The run in is kind to Hinckley, with 8 games to go 7 of them are in Leicestershire and 5 are at home - next week Scunthorpe visit Leicester Road with a 3pm kick off.
