Hinckley's winning start to the season came to an end on Saturday, as they were out muscled by a very well organised Chester team who fully deserved their victory, playing a very well organised and patient game, niling Hinckley for the first time since Sutton Coldfield in January 2014.

The game started evenly, with a lot of the rugby between the 22's although Hinckley did have an early opportunity, however the ball was turned over by Chester when a try looked inevitable. The visitors were then dealt a significant blow with captain Alex Salt having to leave the field with a shoulder injury, with the visitors running in their first try as he was receiving treatment. There were opportunities for the hosts to extend the lead before the break, however the ball was held up over the line on the half time whistle.

Injuries continued to hit Hinckley with Steve Harvey and Tom Wheatcroft also leaving the field however injuries were no excuse for the 2nd try on 55 minutes, when 3 missed tackles allowed the home number 8 to run in next to the posts.

The third and final try came with just 5 minutes to go, with a very well organised maul completing the scoring.
