Excellent start to the league

The short trip to Lutterworth for the first league game was a solid display of rugby from the Staghounds. Lutterworth always come to play, so after the good performance from Hinckley at Bedford the previous week, Hinckley were looking to continue what they had started and see what Lutterworth had to offer.

A really interesting game ensued from there on in and at the end of the first half Hinckley were leading the game at 14-7.
Lutterworth as expected came out fighting in the second half but sheer tenacity and skill in defence from Hinckley repelled much of what Lutterworth had on offer. From there on in the trigger switched for the Stags in what can be only described as a superb attacking effort for 30 minutes from the team in general.

Hinckley winning 33-17 was a well deserved win and probably one of the best attacking and defensive performances I have had the pleasure to be involved in. Excellent display lads from all, with tries from Queeny, Chris x 2, Robbie and Julian, all converted by Robbie. Very interesting times ahead lads......
