Battle at the top

On arrival at south Hinckley knew that south were in it to win it as we were shoved in there broom closet of a changing room on a scorching hot day . The warm up went ok but we still didn't have that fire I wanted to see , we were a little flat . Getting everyone in the changing room and pulling them together defiantly helped as when we kicked of we were firing. Attack and defence from both sides was good but as the heat got to some of the south players Hinckley started to show a bit ,,, great work from the forwards in the set piece all game set the stall for some hard worked at tries , one coming from a 5 metre scrum driven over touched down by palk , palk again getting on the score sheet with a good line out 10 out driven over and ball greedy palk going over. Ash lally had a score denied but the backs managed to scramble and fwds secured ball for ally to go over in the corner. South played some good rugby and did go over for one and convert ,but we were just that little bit better and after a hot hard fought game the Hinckley 2's were on top again.
