After a week off and only managing to play for half a game at Bridgenorth due to Injury, the stags where ready and well prepped for the visit of Derby to Leicester road .
A late call up to the 1s for Hooker Dale Bowyer forced changes to the stags on Friday evening but apart from that the squad was unchanged from the prep and run through from Thursday evening.
The stags started well from the kick off and where having a lot of possession in the early stages but where not converting any of this into points with the Derby pack especially the back row here to spoil the party.
Derby's forwards started to build momentum applying pressure on Hinckley's scrum and lineout . There back row who were excellent all day turned ball over almost at will until The stags re grouped and started playing with intent.
Things looked bad for the Stags when Dion Reynolds was yellow carded for a late no arm tackle, but the stags did not change the game plan and where still wanting to play with pace and width.
It took approximately 20 mins for the stags to eventually break the deadlock after some lovely hands through the middle of the park sent Oli Sharkey over in the corner.
This then sent confidence through the team with further tries soon coming from Dylan Weddle , George Marsden and Guy Dowell after some superb interplay and hands from the whole team.
Stags go in at the break 28- 0 up.
The 2nd half kicked off and it was much the same , the stags backs where enjoying themselves with some big carries and some fantastic interlink play
Tries followed for Stevo Farrell after a brilliant solo effort , George Marsden and Shae Nixon who went on to claim a 2nd half Hatrick
Derby never gave up and their forwards in the tight made the stags pack have a hard and difficult afternoon which the score does not reflect.
There was a number of good performances Dion Reynolds continues to improve and is getting better every week, Cameron Coates controlled the game superbly, Bully outstanding from the kicking tee again but Star Man goes to George the HGV Marsden
