Cracking club display

With the Hunters having Melton cry off in the league and Jimmy's pulling out on Friday night against the presidents it looked bleak for a Saturday Match in the game changing rain..

After a short discussion between captains it was agreed the hunters were to play the presidents!!

The hunters fielded a strong team welcoming the Fijian Buller to the centre and the ginger bearded Jones to the 8 shirt. Equally so the presidents had a strong team of old boys that were keen to take a scalp and win bragging rights in the bar after.

The game started at a frantic pace with some slick work the hunters scored early on but soon the presidents settled and began to play the game their own way causing the hunters much frustration. It was an even fought match throughout with the hunters only starting to dominate towards the end of the match to take the win.

Stand out performances deserve a mention to Eddie Brittain and Jack Barwick who played fantastic performances for the presidents and put their hand up firmly for selection in the Hunters next week!
