Hinckley Hunters travelled to Syston in high spirits with a full complement of front row thanks to Craig Bresland doubling up from Friday night. These were quickly dashed as although faced with around 25 players on arriving it soon became apparent that Syston couldn't muster a front row!!!!!!!. The game was as such played with uncontested scrums from the off, somewhat negating a strong starting pack and riling the old boy and skipper David Massarella. Hinckley despite the final score showed a distinct improvement from last week in several areas particularly at the break down, although we again struggled with the referees interpretation of the laws shall we say.
All in all a good effort from everybody involved as pointed out by the evergreen Eddie Brittain at full time, we didn't give up and next time the result will be different I'm sure
Next up a re run of our first fixture of the season Ashby 2nds
