Three wins and draw against Earlsdon at home
The glorious Indian summer made the first fixture of the season all the more enjoyable as the U9s went undefeated in their opening four games.

Two Hinckley teams were fielded today against a well-represented Earlsdon squad. Both teams started well in the opening matches, with Hinckley and Earlsdon managing to get early tries on the scoreboard. As the matches progressed however, Hinckley's two teams began to break away. Tries from Sansome, Burton, Hubbard, Colloby and Johnson ensured a strong lead for both teams at half time. Tackling from Johnson, Sansome, Burton, Hubbard, Inman and Colloby all ensured possession went Hinckley's way, resulting in more points on the board. Other notable tries came from Halka, Towers and Davis.
The second pair of matches saw a win and a draw for Hinckley, with Colloby, Johnson, Davis, Lockett, Sansome, Halka and Burton all contributing tries.
