A fresh sunday morning saw the under 9's welcoming Lutterworth RFC to Leicester Road.
The opening game saw Hinckley stamp their mark on the days play. Strong tackling and cutting runs defined Hinckleys play and that ultimately saw them turn an early lead into a decisive victory. Fine passing and some great individual play saw tries for Grewcock and Halka with braces for Davies, Lockett and Blake. The strong attacking play was only matched by the solid defence which continually stopped and overturned some fine Lutterworth attacking plays. The 40-5 result reflected a fine opening performance.

The second game saw both teams fielding a fresh team, this didn't however seem to hamper Hinckleys progress with as they again showed the depth of quality with more fine try scoring and strong tackling. A brace of tries for Smith along with tries for Sansome, Catt and one from Inman following a fine pass interception left Lutterworth unable to comeback. Another strong performance and a 25-5 result was making it a good mornings Rugby for the boys.

After two decisive wins expectations were high for the third game and the boys didn't disappoint. With tackling nothing short of outstanding Hinckley gave little time on the ball and certainly no time to get comfortable. Tackle after tackle drove the opposition back. With Hinckley dominating they passed and cut their way through the Lutterworth defence with tries for Towers, Davies, Perkins and Lockett, 2 for Halka and a 3 for Grewcock. A convincing 45-10 win was secured.

Match 4 saw a much closer affair with Lutterworth digging in to hold the Hinckley attack back. Despite a number of attacking plays the game ended 0-0. Whilst short on tries it was never short on quality and commitment.
