Windy city run out

Over in the windy city of Loughborough our 12 Man squad was raring to go, most of which were the first ones to arrive!
The squad comprising of Middleton (c), Kime, Doyle, Moore, Bennett, Gamble, Deacon, Kime, Farrell, Curless, Fisher, Cheshire.
Match one was against Paviors - Despite their petit appearance, they turned out to be a force to be reckoned with. Hinckley won the toss and opened up with the first score. A tense first half seeing some play more suited to the under 9's! Tries from Doyle, Moore and Middleton left us moving into the second half 4-3 down despite a very good tagging exhibition. With fresh legs the second half started as we left off in the first with some great tagging from Curless(1) and Middleton(1) helped the cause but Pavoirs were strong and continued to get the ball down. Final score: Hinckley 5 - Paviors 8.
Match two against Melbourne a - Following the defeat in the first stages of the Ashby Festival last week the Hinckley boys were keen to get out there and prove a point. Hinckley won the toss again and opened up with the first score by Fisher. Some brilliant tagging by Moore helped keep the Melbourne team at bay and an extra try from Curless left the score at half time 4-2 to Melbourne A. The big guns came out in the second half with Kime, Deacon, Moore, Doyle, Fisher and Curless giving Melbourne a lesson in the art of tagging winning multiple turn-overs. Tries from Curless (2), Doyle (1) and Moore (1) helped us on the way to a good final result. Final Score: Hinckley 6 – Melbourne A 6.
Match three - Enter the revengers! Melbourne B was still wiping the tears from their eyes following the Semi-Final defeat last week. Hinckley opened the score line courtesy of a great run by Middleton. Another brilliant tagging display this half particularly Bennett and Curless. Melbourne took two tries with a reply from Middleton again leaving the score at Half time 2-2. Fisher had had his Weetabix by the second half and clocked up nearly double figures in tags, brilliant support from all of the boys saw 2 great turn-overs in this half. Response by Melbourne was one try which spurred Middleton on to grab a last minute try leaving the Final score: Hinckley 3 – Melbourne B 3.
Match four - Hinckley vs Loughborough Blue. Despite tired legs the boys knuckled down and set too! First try by Gamble following some great running and support play. Again the tag rate was good but we couldn’t keep the Loughborough team at bay conceding 2 in quick succession. Half time score 2-1 to Loughborough. Doyle, Fisher, Moore and Kime, Farrell and Middleton all tried there hardest in the second half to hold back Loughborough and did a fantastic job, Fisher bought the match level but a late try by Loughborough ended the match Hinckley 2 - Loughborough Blue 3. Final Match - Hinckley vs Loughborough Yellow. Another first try scored by Hinckley (Curless) with a quick response from Loughborough to bring the score level. Tiredness was really set in at this point and with gritted teeth the boys grabbed another try through Middleton... Half time score 2-1 to Hinckley. Some rapid changes in the second half by "coach" using all the resources he had available but the boys couldn’t hold back a barrage of tries by Loughborough. Hinckley had one in response ending the match. Final Score: Hinckley 3 - Loughborough Yellow 4. Five tough matches and some great determination from all the boys that played today... Well done you should all be proud of yourselves!
