County Cup Prelims

The first match against Leicester Lions was the biggest win of the day. The first try was scored within the first 30 seconds and the team carried on working together to score a further 5 tries. The passing and selfless play enabled the team to outclass their opponents. Hinckley upped their tackling rate and defended well only allowing one try to be scored against them. A 6:1 victory.
Game two against Leicester Forest East was a bit tougher and both teams tackled hard. Turnover balls were a plenty and by the last play it was one all. Again working together, Hinckley stole the ball passed it along the line, and with a final run in scored just before the whistle blew. A 2 :1 win.
Game three was against Oadby and again strong Hinckley defensive play stopped Oadby from moving the ball around or scoring. Hinckley had most of the possession and passed the ball around well. There were some long break away runs to the line resulting in the final score as a 3:0 victory.
The support that the players offered each other today was amazing to watch and they deserved to progress to the next rounds in the cup. Well done everyone.
