Great Start All!!!

2018/19 is a go folks and an interesting day it has been. From nervous anticipation, to success on the field......the season has started! It’s always going to be good having numbers and thankfully this season again we have great numbers. LFE started the training based game with 13, meaning they had little back up, but we had plenty to support the session. Early domination with tries from open play meant we looked good, the preseason training and fitness already showing a difference for all to see. Transition from U12 -13’s is not vast but the the pitch is, so the potential to pass balls in space is far greater. I’m pleased to say nearly all tries came from a series of passes through hands.
Clearly there’s a lot to work on and next week will bring a new sets of challenges but all coaches felt positive. Well done ?
Just a reminder, Tuesdays 8:00 at Pestle and Mortar we invite all those wanting to come to chat and have a beer. It’s every week and provides the chance to discuss any problems/ issues.
Similarly we will be aiming to have a curry night one Friday evening soon, please let us know if you’re interested below so we can book a table. If curry isn’t your thing we will no doubt have a drink as well.
See you at training Wednesday 6:00 for 6:15 start.
Coalville away next week! ?

Instructions

Hi all, this hopefully is the short version for Sunday, please allow your son to read this, it’s not just aimed at parents, many thanks.
We have confirmed all home games will kick off at 11:00am, therefore please arrive 10:00 onwards, no later than 10:15. We shall all meet in the club house and then find our allocated changing room. Please arrive in rugby kit ready to play, black and yellow shirts under black drill tops. Do not forget boots and gum shield. (Nb. we will have new playing shirts shortly and we will also be organising, shorts and more black drill tops).
By 10:30-45 we shall head to the pitch (to be allocated on the day) warm up will be just that, not a fitness session, please do not waste energy, the full size pitch will soon burn your legs.
The game will start at 11:00 and Richard Causon will referee.
Following a successful game, we shall return to the changing rooms shower and change to dress shirt, jeans etc and then go in to the bar area, food will be provided following each game. The opposition will join us in the bar and I would ask players and parents alike to engage in conversation. By this I mean players, parents and coaches should sit or stand with LFE to be social and welcoming. Players can very simply sit with their opposite number and so on.
Please encourage this to happen, it promotes social interaction, confidence building, a positive welcome to other clubs and will leave them with a positive experience from Hinckley RFC.
One last point: following all home games it will be our responsibility to keep changing rooms clean ready for the next Hinckley team or visitors. Therefore by rotation, this week all back players 9-15 will make sure the changing rooms are clean before they are left.
Thanks
Dan
