U/13s Vs Corsairs RFC

Notts Corsairs away, 21 players available and this time an opposition with 20! We started strong and our training/ fitness again showed us to be in control. Scrummaging was good with a number of variations working in different positions. This area stayed good for the whole match.
Having worked on Clear out this week, it improved but we can still go a good deal better yet, a few still driving stood up right. Body positions need to go lower.
However winning ball gave opportunities for the back to attack, which we did using plenty of offload. First 25 minutes we scored 3 with another 2 not allowed.
Second half should have been more straight forward but we began to not commit to every tackle which allowed Notts to pick up 2 tries in quick succession. Despite loosing by a try at the final whistle the performance was good and we learnt a lot more from that game than the previous 2 training matches.
Lots of positive running, a number of cracking tackles and tries scored, just needed another 10 minutes of full commitment to seal the win!
