Early finish - speedy recovery to Kian!

Paviors wanted revenge for our strong performance last season but we weren’t going to let them get control.
The plan was 3 x 15-20 minute segments with time in between, but with all plans come changes. This week we had 22 players available and a system ready to sustain pressure, with subs giving plenty of chance to try new things.
First third and we looked to be strong, but both teams had the ability to score. 3 each by the break. Our forwards looked to be running straighter than last week and were taking the chances when balls were available. Most of our attacks were coming from pick and go, which was encouraging from the Ashby game when balls were sometime watched. During this period our game was solid although our tackling didn’t match our dominance in attack.
Second half and the game got a little closer, tackling improved a little as we closed down their attacks. Unfortunately the same happened to us, so the game became a stalemate. Without stopping the game too early we played until the second third was out but this shortened the game for a number of players still fresh, my apologies.
Kians injury was clear and we requested an ambulance, the game was ended 15 minutes early but we cannot take chances with potential neck injury.
I’m pleased to say it looks like his injuries are muscular and not skeletal, all the best to Kian.
All in all it was a tough game against similar opposition, another 3rd period and we would have turned the screw. ?
Great effort from all the squad.
