First match of the season and the first 15 aside game for the lads against Leicester Forest. With a society referee we quickly got the game underway scoring within a few minutes leading to added conversion kicks. Throughout the first half we dominated LFE scoring 8 tries to no reply. Strong running and support play managed to put the ball through a number of players hands, giving us space to attack. The game flowed well, with players trying out new moves and forwards running off the back of rucks and mauls. Set piece also looked strong with preseason training proving the practice had been worth while.
The second half saw an altered team with players shifted into less familiar positions to try something different. LFE came out with renewed momentum offering good defence. Both teams scored 1 each in the second half. The final score ended 55:5 to Hinckley. A great start and lots of positives to build on over the upcoming months. Well done all.
