ROUND 1

First round of the Leicestershire RFU County Cup and there's no bigger or better way to show your intentions for the season.
This clash has always been a close affair over the years with Hinckley going into the game off the back of 6 hard weeks pre season training and a very good win over old Coventrians.
From the off Hinckley took the game to Market Bosworth and a couple of quick turn overs with the ball spun wide allowing us to run in our first try with a great conversion from wide to give us a 7-0 lead.
From the restart Hinckley moved the ball at ease, leading to a couple of Market Bosworth penalties. Once back in the opposition half a quick tap and go gave Hinckley a second converted try leaving us 14-0 in front at half time.
Market Bosworth came out for the second half with the intention to get back into the game, good phases of play allowed them to find space to score their first try although a missed conversion moved the score to 14-5.
This stung Hinckley back into action gaining forward momentum. Hinckley started to dominate the game and our solid defence only allowed Market Bosworth room for a few kicks which were returned with venom one of which led to a third try for Hinckley increasing our advantage to 19-5.
Market Bosworth came back at us from the restart moving the ball through their backs with Hinckley guilty of a few missed tackles. This allowed them to score a converted try bringing them back to 19-12.
Hinckley composed themselves so as not to allow Market Bosworth back into the game. Our defence was solid all over the park with nobody giving an inch. Our final try came from a Market Bosworth knock on - our lads spinning the ball wide to score our final to make it 24-12 at the final whistle and booking our place in the next round.
As a group of young teenagers you are listening and learning from week to week this game being won in the break downs and out wide.
Well done all, see you all Wednesday.
Andy
