As the Hornets progress into the new season what are the challenges posed by September's fixtures

As we prepare for the last preseason game against National 1 league side Cinderford, our thoughts start to turn towards the opening month's league fixtures. Strangely, the first 4 fixtures are against opposition that are new to the league.

Caldy - 7th Sept - relegated in the dying minutes of the last game of the season against Moseley, this strong Wirral outfit will be an excellent starting challenge at Leicester Rd. We are sure they will be chomping at the bit to make a good to their season in what will be one of the top games in the league. Kick off will be at 3pm. We have lunch tables still available plus we are introducing a pre-match afternoon tea for those that do! Check the links for details.

Loughboro Students - 14th Sept - Again another casualty of relegation from National 1, the students have back their successful coach of old, Dave Morris. Having played them away yesterday, losing 45-38, it will not be one for the faint-hearted, however another fantastic challenge for the boys.

Luctonians - 21st Sept - it was no surprise to see Luctonians make an immediate return from the division below. Luctonians always play a great brand of rugby so we will be looking for a highly competitive end to end game of rugby. This will be a great game to watch. This is looking like a busy lunch day however there are a few table spaces left for those that are interested.

Hull - 28th Sept - This will be a new fixture and a new venue for the Hornets. Hopefully we will have generated some momentum by now and the new system will have bedded in. We will see. For anyone interested the fun bus may be making its first tour to this fixture.

Ps. Don't forget your season ticket, at only £90, this saves £60 on the standard admission price of £10 per game for the 15 home fixtures. If you don't need a full single user season ticket then we also offer a flexi-ticket for £60 for 8 matches where you can use the tickets can be used for multiple users for one fixture or for a single user for 8 matches or a combination of the 2.
